| 内容記述 | 女性脊髄障害者81名を対象として産婦人科的問題に関する後方視的調査を実施した。結果、一般では減少傾向にある「膣感染症」が61名(75%)と最も多く、脊髄障害者において膣感染症が多いことから、膣洗浄による治療効果について検討した。洗浄は10%ポピドンヨード50倍希釈液を用い、2週間に1度の間隔で実施した。その結果5例中4例において、膣分泌物中の細菌の減少傾向が認められ、外陰部の発赤、びらん、悪臭などの自覚症状も軽減した。本研究から、膣感染症に対する洗浄の有効性および女性脊髄障害者の健康問題に関する医療者の理解と当事者に対する知識の普及の必要性が示唆された。 | |||||

| 内容記述 | Women with spinal cord disorders frequently suffer from diseases of the primary and secondary sex organs such as the uterus and breast. However, little information is available regarding these health issues, and awareness remains limited. The purpose of the present study was to assess the gynecological problems experienced by women with spinal cord disorders.Subjects : Eighty-one women with spinal cord disorders who visited the Department of Gynecology of the National Rehabilitation Center for the Disabled during the 12-year period from January 1992 to May 2004 were studied.Methods:The patients' demographic characteristics, reasons for visiting the hospital, and diagnoses were retrospectively reviewed. Results:Sixty-one patients (75%) were found to have vaginitis, 14 patients (17%) had ovulation problems, and 9 patients (115) had uterine fibroids. Discussion : The incidence of vaginitis has recently been falling, but it remains a serious problems in patients with spinal cord disorders. The results of the present study indicate that patients with spinal cord disorders are at high risk of developing vaginitis. Patients should be aware that early diagnosis an treatment are necessary and that physiological phenomena such as menstruation, pregnancy, delivery, and menopause are important health issues.Conclusion : It is essential for healthcare professionals to be aware of the gynecological problems experienced by women with spinal cord disorders and to educate their patients. | |||||
