For that reason, this is an educational field where methodologies and evaluation methods are still being studied. In considering these methodologies and evaluation methods for IPE, it is necessary to understand the learning theory developed by earlier education researchers. Therefore, in this paper, we first outline the history of the “Interprofessional Team Care Approach Practicum”, an IPE curriculum at the International University of Health and Welfare Otawara campus. Second, we describe social constructivism as a background theory of this practicum, and cooperative learning and reflection as learning strategies for the practicum. In addition, we outline the team, from a social psychology perspective, as basic knowledge IPE instructors should have when guiding students in the
