Especially, it has contributed to welfare equipment and is an area that has been growing along with the commercialization of welfare. However, there is a problem with carrying out after-care management with quantitative growth of the market, a problem with sterilizing equipment under a system where equipment is lent out, and a problem with companies lacking morals. It is thought those problems are due to the quasi-market characteristics of welfare equipment service. I analyzed the quasi-market characteristics of the supply side in the welfare equipment system of long-term care insurance and confirmed the conditions necessary to supply such equipment. So far, long-term care insurance for the elderly has continued to supply items to various operators, and has been playing the role of adjusting management with parties that use the national health insurance service (NHIS) as the buyers. However, it is time to re-examine the supply systems because users are becoming diversified.
