According to the World Health Organization (WHO), it is rated second among adolescents deaths worldwide. In spite of this fact in many countries no suicide prevention policies are taken or they are quite limited. Author analyzed information taken from several nationsʼ Statistic Bureaus, statistics and reports taken from Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare of Japan, Japanese National Police Agency, Ministry of Education as well as the World Health Organization, UNICEF and mass media. Author realized that in many countries measures taken to prevent suicides are not sufficient and the main activities are held by citizens and volunteer organizations. As suicide came to be one of the main adolescent death causes, there are more boys committing suicide than girls and the main means of suicide is hanging.
