[Methods] Time Perspective Test (TPT) and CES-D were administered. [Results and Discussion] It was revealed: (1) A depressed patient had extremely few answers compared to healthy people; (2) Rate of present time perspective, which continued from a past negative memory, was considerably decreased at the time of hospital discharge, but future time perspective was not seen at the time of admission nor at the time of discharge; and (3) Trend of dichotomous thinking, which had been remarkable at the time of admission, was improved at the time of discharge.
