| 内容記述 | 目的：自治体の終活支援事業に取り組む自治体・関係機関職員を対象に，壮年期単身者に対する終活支援の課題を明らかにすることを目的とした． 方法：関東圏で終活支援事業を行う自治体・関係機関職員を対象に半構造化面接によるインタビューを行い質的記述的に分析した．調査期間は2023年3月～9月である． 結果：9名の研究参加者にインタビューを行い，壮年期単身者に対する自治体の終活支援の課題として，22サブカテゴリが生成され【制度や社会と人々の価値観の変化の乖離を埋める】【身寄りの有無や家族形態に関わらず本人の意向をつなぐ】【健康と最期を考える機会を提供し孤立死を予防する】の3つのカテゴリが生成された． 結論：終活支援事業を行う職員は単身世帯増加や家族と疎遠な者の増加を把握し，単身者の漠然とした不安を傾聴し，最期の意向を反映する仕組みづくりや情報提供に取り組んでいることが明らかにされた．今後さらに増加する壮年期単身者を支援対象とし，家族に頼らずとも本人の意向が反映できるよう壮年期から自治体によるサポートが必要である． |

| 内容記述 | Purpose: To elucidate issues in end-of-life support for single people in the prime of life faced by staff of local governmentsand related agencies involved in local governments’end-of-life support programs. Methods: Semistructured interviews were conducted with staff of local governments and related agencies conducting end-of-life support programs in the Kanto region of Japan, and qualitative descriptions were analyzed. The survey was conducted inMarch–September 2023. Results: Interviews by nine participants in the study generated the following three categories (consisting of 22 subcategories)of issues in local governments’end-of-life support for single people in the prime of life: filling the gaps resulting fromchanges in systems, society, and people’s values; connecting it to the intents of the individuals concerned, regardless ofrelations and family structure; and, preventing death in isolation by providing opportunities to think about health and the endof life. Conclusion: The study made it clear that staff working in end-of-life support programs strive to ascertain increases in single-person households and in persons estranged from their families, to listen to the anxieties of single persons, and to buildsystems and provide information reflecting subjects’intentions for the end of life. As numbers of single people in the primeof life continue to grow in the future, local governments will need to provide support from the prime of life that isindependent of family and reflects the intents of individual recipients. |
