| 内容記述 | 目的：本国における各地域の陽子線治療適応患者数と採算性を考慮した陽子線治療施設照射室1室あたりの目標患者数より，各地域の必要陽子線治療照射室数を推定し，各地域の新規陽子線治療施設の設置可能性について検討した．<br />方法：1）各種公表データより，各地域の陽子線治療適応患者数を推定した．2）正味現在価値法（NPV），各種公表データより陽子線治療施設照射室1室あたりの目標患者数を推定した．1）および2）の結果より，各地域での必要照射室数を推定し，各地域の陽子線治療施設照射室の過不足を検討した．<br />結果：全国的に現在の粒子線施設照射室数は29.2室推定値よりも多かった．推定値よりも少なかった地域としては，甲信越，中国，四国および沖縄であり，必要陽子線治療照射室数は0.1～0.8室であった．<br />結論：現状として本結果においては，設置余地のある地域はなかった．本国の陽子線治療のさらなる普及および発展のためには，放射線治療適応患者数および陽子線治療適応患者の増加，インバウンド戦略などが重要となることが示唆された． | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| 内容記述 | Purpose: This study aimed to estimate the number of proton therapy rooms required in each region in Japan based on the number of patients indicated for proton therapy in each region and the target number of patients per irradiation room considering profitability and to examine the feasibility of establishing new proton therapy facilities in each region.<br />Methods: The number of patients indicated for proton therapy in each region was estimated based on published data. The target number of patients per proton therapy room was estimated using the net present value method and published data. Based on these numbers, the number of required irradiation rooms in proton therapy facilities in each region was estimated, and the excess or deficiency of irradiation rooms was examined.<br />Results: Nationwide, the number of irradiation rooms was 29.2 higher than the estimated number of required rooms. The number of proton therapy rooms in Koshinetsu, Chugoku, Shikoku, and Okinawa was 0.10.8 lower than the estimated number of rooms required.<br />Conclusion: This study showed that no room is currently available to establish proton therapy rooms. The number of patients eligible for radiotherapy and proton therapy should be increased, and inbound strategies should be implemented to further promote and develop proton therapy in this country. |
