Methods: A questionnaire survey was administered to 184 nursing home employees in the Tokyo metropolitan area, out of which 128 were caregivers. Correlation analysis, t-test, and path analysis were used to test the hypothesized model. Results: Path analysis was conducted, and a modified version of the hypothesized model was employed. The results showed that social support received through the interpersonal skills related to social skills, and self-disclosure influenced job satisfaction, although the goodness-of-fit was insufficient. Conclusion: Although not a sufficient fit, social support received through interpersonal skills was shown to influence job satisfaction.
