Because the lack of considering the cost deviation of the patients with serious complications causes the deficit, tertiary hospitals accept more patients with slight illness.\nObjective: With using the limited data, I have proposed to improvise Mongolian medical payment system by defining problems that occurs due to current payment system.\nMethods: The cost of patients in the stroke department is estimated by using financial data. Furthermore, with using the length of stay at the hospital and relevant cost for treatment, patients in a DRG related to stroke are divided into 5 groups. The effectiveness of this groping is evaluated with ANOVA.\nResult: The result of (R2) is 73.44% and this groping can highly explain the deviation of the cost in a stroke group.\nConclusion: It is vital to re-introduce more specific and cost based grouping DRG system to Mongolian medical institutes.
