</dc:description>
<dc:description>The present study evaluates the effect of limitation of swinging arms during gait upon psychological stress and gait efficiency. Seven healthy male students with the average age of 24.04±4.42 years (21-33years) were asked to walk treadmil at the optimal speed, and their Probe Reaction Time (P-RT) and Physiological Cost Index (PCI) were measured during three types of gait with restrict their arm swinging. No Primary effects of restricting arm swinging were observed in P-RT, PCI and gait efficiency by ANOVA. The results indicate that the distribution of attentional demand in response to a decrease in balance during gait with restrict arm swinging in relatively small.</dc:description>
